Pushing Through Time: Synodic Cycles and Their Developing Phases
The Moon, Venus, and Jupiter will be aligned on August 19–20. These dates may see an increase in social interactions and gatherings. The New Moon in Virgo on August 22–23, which forms a square aspect to Uranus, could coincide with unexpected events or changes in routine, especially for those with a preference for structure.
Such events may include unplanned visitors or miscommunications within families. Dividing tasks into smaller parts may help maintain productivity. Individuals with early Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces placements might experience more noticeable effects, while Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn may address these situations by setting clear boundaries. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius may focus on financial planning and reconsidering self-imposed limitations.
Mercury moves beyond its retrograde phase this week, potentially clarifying issues that have arisen since early July. The upcoming eclipses, including a total lunar eclipse on September 7, may correspond with heightened emotions as the Moon in Pisces opposes the Sun in Virgo. Events initiated in mid-June 2025 may reach resolution from mid to late September, particularly around the solar eclipse on September 21 at the 29th degree of Virgo, also known as the Anaretic degree.
The Anaretic degree refers to the final (29th) degree of a zodiac sign, often seen as a culmination point for the energies associated with that sign. It is characterized by both tension and potential, often reflecting a transition before moving to the next sign.
A live talk on the Anaretic degree is scheduled in Albany, CA for NCGR San Francisco on October 25, 2025, with additional details to be posted on the events calendar. An online session will also be offered via Zoom for my students in Mexico at Astro Mexico on October 26, with further updates to follow.
I started a YouTube channel in July and there are some interesting pieces from the Archives. We’re just getting started so enjoy a few at https://www.youtube.com/@Georgia_StarCycles
