Micro-Forecast: October 9 to 15, 2023

October 9, 2023

A lot is going on this week. You already know that Pluto goes direct tomorrow Tuesday October 10 and I covered much of what to expect or NOT to expect as it goes direct. Endings and beginnings are what we see when Pluto stations direct. Things are revealed, secrets spilled, choices made, and Pluto gets ‘paid’ for deception and Pluto rewards for bravery. Again, he is very black and white in terms of his determinations and since Pluto is still in Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn, it is about stepping up with self-responsibility and if one hasn’t done that, then Pluto ‘demands’ a payment for one’s neglect. This is what we will all see over the course of the last few degrees of Capricorn as Pluto attempts to leave Capricorn and enter Aquarius. We often see a lot of financial surprises likes banks closing (that were not responsible) or companies making choices that require more sacrifice to achieve a long-term goal.

I recently presented a workshop on Decoding your Chart and Overcoming your Financial Blocks. One of the things I mentioned in there was that for one to overcome their fears (ruled by Saturn who rules Capricorn where Pluto still transits) is to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Yes, get comfortable with being uncomfortable. No one moves forward in their life if they aren’t willing to put some effort into that goal. As Pluto turns direct on October 10, you may find yourself doing just that. Don’t worry. Do the pain first, then pleasure and positive outcomes are a true reward!

Enough about Pluto, let’s talk about a very significant event on October 14 which is the Annular Solar Eclipse at 21° Libra 07’. Mars, the action god, just crossed over this degree, which is good, because it is always better if Mars moves in front of the eclipse. Still, if you can imagine, Mars moving in front of the eclipse, is like taking a machete and cutting through the forest so you can have a clear path. What have you been cutting out of your life to open a clearer path for your desires? For me, as an example, I had to close the books to see clients to continue a project that will take a lot of time and energy over this next year. I hated doing it, but it was a necessary decision to focus on what is important in my life – at least for now.

Where this eclipse is moving (wherever there is Libra in your chart), it is also on the South Node end of the lunar nodal axis. This suggests that there is something from the past that needs fixing or releasing or getting cleaned up so that you move forward more efficiently when the Aries Solar Eclipse starts on April 8, 2024. The last time this degree eclipse occurred was October 14, 2004. Can you remember what was going on in your life which continued into the following year? You may feel tired this week as the shadow of the eclipse descends. Rest is always good and taking a break while twice about deciding and waiting at least until the eclipse is done. Why? Because when the ‘shadow’ of the eclipse is hanging around, it is difficult to see what you really need to do. This is why in my annual cheat sheet I always put in little firecrackers to indicate the approximate 90-days after eclipses when we see things more clearly that we didn’t see on the eclipses. Like driving a car with a blind spot – that’s an eclipse. Peripheral vision is when we have 90-days after the eclipse.
