Micro-Forecast: April 7 to 13, 2025

April 7, 2025

Historically, every time Neptune enters a fire sign, we see increased inflation. The last time it entered a fire sign was in Sagittarius between  1970 and 1984. These were the Carter years, the rising costs of housing, oil, and if one remembers, a time when you were able to purchase gas based on your license plate – whether it was an odd or even number. This was also just one year before the USA went off the gold standard as it transitioned to a ‘fiat’ currency, which allowed more printing of paper as debt continued to rise.

Confusion was rampant in terms of what to do in these last weeks as retrograde Mercury was  in the site line of transit Neptune also at the end of Pisces. Today, however, on April 7, Mercury goes direct, still in Pisces at 27°, it means it still needs a bit more time roll over transit Neptune. one more time. This is the time to get those tax papers ordered and submitted while discarding items from your life will get you to a ‘lean’ place to make lots of new moves or start new things as both Mercury enters Aries on April 17 and crosses Neptune for the last time this year on April 18. Mark your calendars.

Venus goes direct this week (at 24° Pisces) on April 12 and moves into Aries on May 17, 2025. On May 3, she also crosses over Neptune for the last time this year – lifting the fog in our personal and professional relationships and now requiring a hard look at which ones are worth maintaining and/or what agreements need be revisited for successful collaborations. It may seem as though things have moved in a sluggish almost paralyzing fashion with all these planets at the end of Pisces, but as mid-April to mid-May 2025 arrive, things move quickly and efficiently. Get lean and move forward.

Confronting one’s psychological wounds keeping you from moving forward into a more fulfilled life require openly sharing what those are with those you trust. There is a lesson embedded here as Chiron, a comet discovered in October, 1977, orbits between the visible planet Saturn and Uranus, and outside our visible field. On the next Full Moon on Saturday, April 12  when the Moon is at 23 Libra and the Sun is at 23 Aries, Chiron is right next to the Sun also at 23° Aries. This unusual configuration can be explosive in terms of discovering things we knew nothing about and suddenly seeing things appear.

The key take away from this is that Chiron was a teacher – half man, half god – often associated with wounding (mentioned earlier) because he was wounded during a skirmish in which he found himself in the middle. This ‘theme’ may be in our lives in the next few days. Chiron is also very intelligent and like Pluto without the all or nothing outcomes. Intelligent objectivity is most important during this very critical period in the year. Rash actions will not work out very well, strategic questioning and planning while setting clear boundaries is the better way to go.

Summary:

Historically, Neptune in fire signs correlates with inflation, last seen between 1970 and 1984. Now, as Mercury goes direct in Pisces, it’s time for tax preparations and decluttering. Venus will go direct on April 12 and move into Aries by May 17, lifting personal and professional relationship fog.
