Micro-Forecast: March 3 to 9, 2025

March 3, 2025

On March 1, transiting Venus went retrograde at 10° Aries 50’. I have been discussing this since the end of last year. That just as Mars went direct on February 23, in a few short days, Venus follows in a retrograde motion. The Venus retrograde continues through April 12, 2025 at 24° Pisces 37’ when it goes direct (again very close to confusing Neptune). Venus is about what we desire. It is about what gives us pleasure. It is the planet that encourages us to buy and this is directly related to what we value. In the sign of Aries, which tends to be impulsive, there may be many attempts to try something new or purchase something that has instant appeal. It is important to note that as this planet goes retrograde that when it travels direct on April 12 (just before taxes are due) it doesn’t catch up to get back on track until May 17. Now, you take another look at what to keep and what to discard. Again – as stated at the end of last year and on and off throughout the last three months – the first almost six months of 2025 are loaded with retrograde movements and retrograde movements are about starting things that never quite get finished. The takeaway of this retrograde cycle is that much is discovered that one never knew about. This is a positive outcome from a very difficult cycle.

Venus in Aries is always about starting something new and fresh. It can be, when in direct motion, the impulse to jump into relationships that seem ‘shiny and new.’ With Venus retrograde during the entire month of March while we are having significant eclipses activities on March 14 and 31, Venus may create more confusion regarding one’s values than usual. Why? Because the eclipses of March 14 and 31, especially the March 31 Solar Eclipse at 09° Aries, very close to Venus’ retrograde degree, ask for each person to pause on a decision to partner or reconnect with partners. There may be hidden agendas unseen until about 90-days after the eclipses in mid-June and with the help of a Venus retrograde, they my be more hidden than one realizes in both one’s business and personal lives. Or, hidden, can be defined as just wanting each person to hide out more than usual because Venus retrogrades are not always that social.

Venus loves being social but when she is retrograde, she is just tired. Being tired just isn’t fun, but tired may be useful during this very odd and shadowy retrograde period between March 1 and April 12. When I ran the chart for the moment Venus goes retrograde for New York, the greatest amount of activity falls in the seventh house of legal issues, litigation, contractual agreements, with Venus squaring Mars (the god of War) up in the tenth house of reputation and career achievement. There may be many relationship confrontations that have been brewing especially in families during the Mars retrograde. But now Mars is direct and Venus is retrograde in a rough conversation with Mars. All I can say about that is fight fair or don’t fight at all. Or walk away from a confrontation that is too heated to resolve currently. Table the discussions until at least early May when Mars returns to its shadow position and is quickly followed by Venus returning to her shadow position. With the current Lunar North Node (these are associated with the eclipses) surrounded by foggy Neptune, you may not be receiving the truth or you may not be conveying the full picture – thus the suggestion to take a moment to think before you sign or react or partner. More on this and how it affects others this week.

I will be speaking at the Convergence Conference in Orlando Florida at the end of this week (see this link for more information): https://cosmicpatternsconference.com/ and in late March, I was asked by Astrology Hub to be the teacher for the Aries New and Full Moon. There are also several YOUTUBE programs I have done for Astrology Hub where you can find them at YouTube. I will also be teaching a three-week course on Aspects for Astrology Hub in May and letting you know now – if you are interested in learning more how to navigate the basic Ptolemaic Aspects.

And, finally, this is a very belated THANK YOU to all who attended my February 10 fundraiser for www.alexandraiaibase.org and we were sponsored by https://astrologykansascity-aoa.com/. Thank you to the Kansas City Astrology org for sponsoring this. They are sponsoring a monthly fundraising lecture series for alexandriaibase.org project (AIP) for a very affordable $5.50 entrance fee for each lecture. And the speaker series is amazing. Absolutely amazing and, of course, the price is right. So many people donated far more than the $5.50 but still – any amount helps us build our 501(c)3 non-Profit Educational database search engine of all things astrological. We feel blessed to have such support. That night we had well over 100 people. Thank you. More on Venus retrograde and its impact next week.

I am teaching for Astrology Hub’s Inner Circle this year and if you wish to be part of this 12 month program where different speakers highlight each month’s lunations and…for a 50% off fee go to  https://portal.astrologyhub.com/sp/icexpand50off/
