Fall Equinox (equal day and equal night) on September 22 pushing you into the Autumn season in the Northern Hemisphere. This demarcates the end of the growing season thus beginning the harvest season. When we refer to growing and harvesting, the first thing that often comes to mind is agriculture, crops, and the autumn outcroppings that come from the growth season like pumpkins, pomegranates, and apple cider. On a deeper level, there is also a harvesting time for our dreams and wishes and hopes. What did we do to improve ourselves during the spring and summer? What did we decide that was no longer necessary when Mercury went direct? Where did your focus shift and how are you staying on track to keep stark clarity as to what is most important right now?
And of course, it is important to note Pluto’s return to the last degrees of Capricorn one more time until November 16, 2024. This is where the bases are loaded regarding ethics and ethical challenges and the judgments or lack of judgment depending on the conscience of everyone. Pluto began its ingress into Capricorn during the meltdown of 2008. It is trying to finish its cycle in Capricorn in the next few weeks. Opportunities abound in getting things right (Saturn) and going forward. Reality checks are required during this time – how much time do you have (Saturn is time) to devote to what is important? Are you thinking too small because of fear, trepidation, or lack of information? If so, then find out (Pluto is about discovery) how you can change things up – and then go for it. There is a great power in the concept of ‘time.’ Think about it – we can’t save time and we can’t invest it for a future return. Time is a commodity most rare and most fleeting on this planet. How are you spending yours?
This week Venus enters Scorpio where it will remain for the next few weeks. On Thursday September 26, transit Mercury enters the air sign Libra. Scorpio is about purging what isn’t necessary. Libra is about weighing the best possible outcomes against the worst possible outcomes and trying to make decisions for effective change. With that said, this is the week between the September 17 Lunar Eclipse and the upcoming Solar Eclipse happening on October 2 at 10̊ Libra – the last eclipse in one of the two signs where we’ve seen the eclipses over the course of these last two years.
The last eclipse in the series (October 2, 2024) always brings the biggest changes of all – much like the bases being loaded at the baseball game we are waiting for that home run that brings all the bases in to win the game. The time between these two eclipses is precious. In general, it is about sorting out the unconscious parts of ourselves that prevent us from living conscious lives – and if this means getting added help from therapy or body work or talking with trusted associates – then do it.
As Venus continues in Scorpio (a water sign) it sends off very positive aspects to transiting Mars in Cancer (also water). With these two in favorable conversations with each other and supported by transiting Saturn in Pisces (the third and last water sign), there is a huge opportunity that benefits, gifts, or provides much needed support concerning a plan or project in which you’ve invested your precious time (remember what I said about time)? By October 5, these three are in full power.
Pay attention to opportunities offered, try hearing what is offered, and then compromise with something you really want as part of the opportunity package. You will get it – if it works for both parties – this is an excellent opportunity for something that has been much out of fashion – compromise.
