The New Moon, new starts, in Taurus is on Tuesday, May 7 at 18° Taurus and close to the recent conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus. This tightly bundled chart at this New Moon indicates potential for fun, love, dating, and new creative pursuits. All the planets are tightly bound with each other with a strong emphasis in the third house of communications, tours, and the fifth house which is the house of love, children, and fun. Personally, I am looking forward to our family time in Italy this week.
I’m particularly interested in Venice (I have never been there) and how the city was built, the canals, the architecture, and its rich history. A little backdrop here – there was a film made in 1998 called Dangerous Beauty. It is the story of Veronica Franco, a famous courtesan in Venice (a real one), who was also a great poet and writer. Her intellectual gifts brought her to the top of Venetian society, and it is a fascinating story not often told. I am also looking forward to walking on the floating city and getting lost (in a good way) in the many streets and getting immersed in its art and history.
With Venus in a lovely aspect to the Sun on Thursday, one can’t help but start up a conversation that includes culture, ideas, and creativity. Lots of ideas are thrown around in unusual social situations where you meet others who may share the same ideas and values. Go someplace where there is no real destination and see what fun and creative things you can ignite.
And remember – Sunday is Mother’s Day in the USA. The Moon will be in Cancer, the sign of the primary caretaker (often the mother, but not always) and even if you can’t travel miles to see someone who cared for you and still cares for you, make sure to let them know how much you appreciate them being in your life.
