Micro-Forecast: January 15 to 21, 2024

January 15, 2024

Happy new year to everyone. As we enter a new year, we face many challenges, most importantly the inner knowledge that many of the parts of our lives that we counted on may be changing. Many people are speaking about the transition of transit Pluto from Capricorn to Aquarius (once again until Sept 1, 2024) as it did last year from late March to May 1, 2023.

These last few days before it changes late on Saturday January 20, 2024, may feel exhausting and bring with that feeling a sense of hopelessness or loss. This is a state of mind reflecting the ‘grief’ we are really feeling regarding the loss of the ‘known.’ This doesn’t mean, however, that there aren’t good things to come. This is very cliché, I know, but the old saying, ‘when a door closes, a window opens’ fits appropriately here.

Anytime a planet, especially a slow one like Pluto, which has been in Capricorn since 2008, leaves a trail of sadness or grief as well as ‘relief’ prevails as it departs one sign and enters another. The next 9 months offer a tiny foot hole of change if one is willing to be even a little bit flexible. We don’t have to change completely – that is not human. Humans are encased in a body that also holds its Spirit. Sometimes the Spirit is willing but the body – well it just ‘ain’t there yet’ Change like this requires baby steps. Tiny, tiny steps.

So, what in these next weeks as Pluto enters Aquarius (January 20) are the baby steps you can take for change? You may be hearing of job losses, companies closing, housing changes, you name it, this is the nature of change. Pluto in Capricorn (is ruled by Saturn) which represents fear. If ‘fear’ gets in the way and freezes you, this keeps you from moving forward. Saturn can also be highly creative – by finding a need and filling it when pushed and not frozen in fear, or, looking at the most distilled parts of ‘you’ that do work. Those distilled parts are your hidden golden nuggets moving you forward. You must take time to dig and find them and they are there. Each day do something, a baby step action, to move you through this time.

At month’s end, Uranus goes direct, and this kicks in more action but I will wait until I get there to write about it. I do know that again ‘doors close, windows open.’ I have experienced this in my life – so many times, I have lost count, and now, at this stage in my life – see that these always open doors to new possibilities that may not be completely what you thought about but which are ‘perfect’ for you at this time in your life. I wish that for you as well. This coming weekend, I am speaking at a hybrid event (both LIVE and ONLINE) for NCGR Florida Atlantic chapter. This is the FIRST Live presentation I have done since before the pandemic.
