Happy Thanksgiving this week to my fellow Americans. As we reach mid-week the Sun enters Sagittarius and on Saturday Mars leaves Scorpio and enters Sagittarius and this lightens up the holiday as this happens. Talk about asteroids? Even Ceres, the goddess of the grains, enters Sagittarius on Saturday. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and Jupiter is still in Taurus until spring of next year. This suggests the opportunity for each of us to donate time or money to help others less fortunate. Many Americans are finding themselves going to Food Pantries in their counties because regardless of whether you are working or not – many people cannot afford to feed families – due to the high cost of gas, food, utilities, and housing to name just a few at this time.
When you go to the grocery store and eggs are up to $8.99 a carton (yes, a price I actually saw at a local grocery store!) then there are people who could use a little happiness on Thanksgiving. Maybe offering a little happiness this week is the best way to celebrate. We all have choices. We can give something, and we can choose not to give something. The key thing to remember is that even kindness goes a long way. It doesn’t cost anything but it can mean the world for someone who desperately needs someone to say something kind to them. And the more we give, the more we receive. Think about this as your local food pantries ask for help in this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving and we will be back next week.
