Monday, Labor Day in America, begins with another retrograde but this time it is Jupiter. Jupiter tends to over do or be somewhat indulgent in the sign of Taurus (ruled by Venus). Did you recently spend money on something that you really don’t need, but really wanted? Can you afford it? This is the little reality check we get as Jupiter stations to go retrograde until later in the year going direct on December 30. Is this the time to take a serious look at all the ideas that have been bubbling up that seem doable but, in fact, need a little bit more focus – listing them as most important at the beginning and less so going down the list?
The Last Quarter Moon on Wednesday gives you about a week to close the office, clear the desk, throw out files no longer in use, get your email lists in order, because the Last Quarter Moon is in Gemini. If you are an independent contractor, getting those lists in order may help you make a few Gemini type sales calls to check in with people, asking if they have had any further thoughts on ideas, they may have brought to you earlier in the year.
Or, perhaps, you are on the other side of the independent contractor career. This might be the time to put together all those client lists and start thinking how you can work in a different way so that your work isn’t so taxing. Venus has gone direct, with whom have you thought you might collaborate to share responsibilities where it is indeed a win/win for both of you giving you more time to focus on your other skills and talents long ignored?
Monday through Wednesday, Mercury retrograde sends a lovely line to Jupiter on Monday. These two will pair up again in this same configuration on September 25 with Mercury direct. The conversation you begin this week may bear fruit at the end of September and be even more evolved in scope as Mercury and Jupiter come together in a conjunction June 5, 2024. What started in September may come to fruition around early June 2024.
