Anytime we have a Full Moon week (happening on Tuesday August 1), emotions heighten and things come to some sort of climax or a decision is imminent in the areas in which we find the Full Moon in our charts. Accompanying this ‘loud’ configuration is the more grounding opposition between Saturn in Pisces and Mercury in Virgo.
When Mercury opposes Saturn each year, it is an opportunity to be alert and attentive to the everyday issues that being human, we often avoid and inevitably require attention to difficult details, or tasks, or schedules, or repairs or upgrades necessary. In the Mark Douglas and Marcia Moore book, “Astrology: The Divine Science” they have an interesting list of keywords for the positive as well as the challenging ramifications for Saturn Mercury. Here they are:
Positive manifestation: Determined, practical, pragmatic, sensible, shrewd.
Challenging qualities: Exacting (i.e., picky 😊, inhibited (what is it you are NOT saying), taciturn (habitually silent).
My added thoughts on this opposition is that we have a window of opportunity in which to take care of details, like finishing or completing paperwork and tasks. Also, if finding yourself in a heated discussion (Full Moon), then think before you say something – choosing word carefully, as Mercury is traveling towards Mars in Virgo (exact hit on August 10).
The lovely supportive aspects are the fact that Jupiter in Taurus and Mars in Virgo are working together in a lovely trine (positive) aspect. And helping us along as Venus continues her retrograde activity in Leo through early September. Prioritizing needs are activities supported magnificently by the above aspects.
