Micro-Forecast: June 26 to July 2, 2023

June 26, 2023

Monday starts the week with transit Mercury leaving its own sign of Gemini and entering the sign of Cancer. If you weren’t thinking about ‘home’ things in the last week, then this week pushes you firmly in that direction. There are lots of lovely trines to planets this week allowing for more ease in our day to day. Near week’s end, one might feel tired because of all this week’s activities where you get things done while problem solving and because too much is going on deciding to set aside larger decisions. This is probably because you still need more information. It’s probably a good idea to wait until the rest of that information shows up. A ‘tired’ feeling near the end of the week may be because Neptune is turning retrograde at 27̊ Pisces 41’ on June 30. It is very near the end of Pisces and has a couple more years before it goes to Aries.

Each sign has only 30°. Neptune takes about 14 years to go through one sign of the zodiac and entered the sign of Pisces in April, 2011, retreated, and then re-entered Pisces permanently in early 2012. Since that time Neptune has been traveling through Pisces. Between now and early 2026 when it enters Aries, is a great time to clear out psychological cobwebs that continually hang up your chances to change things in your life. Neptune is the natural ruler of the zodiac’s twelfth house, the place where a lot of creative ideas are birthed because it is the seat of our unconscious mind. The twelfth house is where we also store all those ‘things’ we will get to another time. This week’s Neptune retrograde is about taking a deeper dive into those hidden, unaddressed issues holding you back. Questions like what is making me more tired? OR What is it that is taxing me and interrupting my sleep? What am I feeding my brain – both in food as well as input from the more negative media – that is creating more and more anxiety? How can I change that? What filters do I need to clean up to clear out to feel better in my body? What intuitions do I keep getting about someone or a situation that creates anxiety? Ignoring what are probably Neptune’s red flags is not the way to ‘fix’ whatever is ailing you. Seeking help from qualified and highly recommended professionals is a great start.

There is a lot of bad press about Neptune. In older astrology books, the twelfth house and its ruler, Neptune, was the house of ‘self-undoing’. That can be true as there is that side of Neptune that doesn’t always show you all that is going on. But all planets have their positive and then their more challenging side. The more positive side of Neptune is that as human beings, we are gifted with an intuition that helped our species survive when there was no language. In modern times we don’t listen to intuition like we used to or we listen to what others tell us they think is right or wrong without checking in with our own unconscious who is really telling us the truth. This is the gift of Neptune. If something is telling you to wait, then wait. Over time things are revealed. And this serves you well.
