Micro-Forecast: June 19 to 25, 2023

June 19, 2023

This week we welcome Summer Solstice. It is the longest day of the year and it occurs on Wednesday June 21 at 7:58 am Pacific Time and 10:58 am Eastern Time. With the solstice come several smaller but important ingresses (entrances) into new signs. Two of these are, coincidentally, happening on Thursday June 22. They are two of the four major asteroids. The two we are looking at are Juno, the goddess of commitments, and Vesta, the goddess of service and investment. When I refer to investment, it can be taken quite literally or more encompassing as, ‘investing in yourself’ as an individual. Juno enters the sign of Cancer , which often associates with commitment or new commitments to family members or those who have become like family. Commitment to finding or improving one’s safe place – one’s home or a place that can become like a home. Vesta enters the curious and delightful sign of Gemini. In the markets there could start to be some volatility as it moves closer and closer to a square to Pisces over the next few weeks, especially in the earlier days of July. One might be prudent to now explore their budgets and where, if there has been any investment planning, on how to move things around for more efficient returns as well as to commit to making those we love a bit safer and secure for the future.

This aligns perfectly with the fact that on Monday, Venus who I spoke of extensively last week, enters what we call the ‘pre-shadow’ which is the degree at which Venus will go direct in early September. If you’ve been working on a project, a class, filling out a resume, finishing taxes, and it isn’t done yet, I suggest you get cracking…as mom used to say there is great support on that same day because Jupiter which is protection and opportunity is in a lovely aspect to the more serious Saturn, which says, ‘get it done’. Make it a fun event – play some lovely music while doing the details you hate to do or give yourself an ‘after work’ reward by going out for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or a walk. Rewards work very well with Venus projects that aren’t always fun. There is a juggling type of energy in these next weeks, where you do a little work, then a little relaxing, a little work, and then a little relaxing.

Mercury, the planet of communications, is also experiencing some lovely support this week, especially on the day of the Solstice as it is in a lovely aspect to Chiron. This could be a day when you have an ‘aha’ moment where you figure out a completely different way to do something that you’ve been going over and over in your mind but with no resolution. Those aha moments continue through the end of the week. Thursday’s Sun in a lovely aspect to the transiting Node may be openings for ideas for a new job or a new way to organize something that’s baffled you regarding where you live. It might even be about finding the right roommates, although, they may not stay very long, but may stay until September. Flexibility in your thinking opens lots of new doors. Pivoting is key.
