Monday, June 5, Venus enters Leo. Venus in Leo is fun, loves to laugh, is very generous and magnanimous, and loves taking risks. Normally Venus spends time in a sign for about 5 or 6 weeks, but since Venus will be going retrograde at the end of July (I know that is a long way away), I feel it is prudent to mention what this upcoming Venus will do to this very generous Venus over the course of the next few months…yes month. First things first, however, where is Leo in your chart? The next few months there will be a revisionary story regarding the house through which it is moving. If it is transiting say, your fourth house, the regular direct Venus story is that you spend a lot of time, perhaps, entertaining in your home, inviting others to share happy fellowship with you, or, fixing your home so that it looks better after Venus leaves. This is the regular story, but the retrograde story of Venus moving through the fourth house of home and family might be a deeper dive into much-needed improvement in familial relationships too.
This deeper dive into this area of your chart may involve a lot more costs, because Venus rules spending as well as finding the right people with whom you can do those home improvements that will not only provide you with the construction service that is positive, but at a fair and equitable price – this sometimes indicates the need to ‘think’ before hiring someone and checking their referrals. Venus slowing down begs the question – is there a real value (through whatever house it is moving) to this plan? This person? This situation? These questions continue through the week as transit Venus moves into a square to the transiting nodes?
Venus doesn’t retrograde until July 22. It just began its run this week. Venus makes us look at our values, our relationships, the quality of our many associations. The coming summer is about re-evaluating the importance of these various thoughts and situations for a more streamlined and more lightweight life. Sometimes and over time, our values shift, the things that used to be important are no longer important and we start planning a new direction. Life was tough for the fixed signs the last few years as Saturn traveled through Aquarius. It’s better now. At least it is in a better place to make changes, check in with what our deepest needs are and go for it. Personal relationships could change over the course of the next few months as Venus goes back and forth in Leo. The key thing is to pay attention. And wait to make decisions on those same relationships.
