Micro-Forecast: April 17 to 23, 2023

April 17, 2023

Much happens this week. If you feel that you are just a little bit out of sorts – or just simply exhausted, chalk it up to a few things. First, Mercury, the planet of communication is slowing down in Taurus. It doesn’t officially retrograde until Friday, April 21. It will, however, retrograde right at the middle degrees of Taurus (a critical degree) which happens to be lined up with Uranus which has its own set of anxiety issues. The odd thing about this week is that a retrograding planet aligned with a highly nervous planet becomes highly charged. Tempers might fly (not good) but ideas may also pop up requiring further research. It can go either way. A good thing to schedule for yourself this week is a day off, if you can manage it, or a visit with the chiropractor to get your body aligned and then maybe throw in a good body massage to help balance the electrical energies in the air.

These energies are further compounded by the fact that the total solar eclipse at 29° Aries 50’ is happening the day before Mercury is retrograde. The eclipse happens on either April 19 or 20 wherever you may be living on the planet and within a few hours after it occurs the Sun enters Taurus. So, is it an Aries or a Taurus eclipse? Good question.

In my Inner Circle class this month where I am addressing these very issues – I have to say it is both. And both are in a hard square to Pluto, which is the bigger story. We are confronted with large issues as this hybrid eclipse asks each of us how much risk we are willing to take (Aries) to change something not working in our lives? It asks this, while at the same time, confronts us about how it affects our limited perception of security (Taurus)?

I suggest you do not decide during the eclipse, because an eclipse brings out the ‘shadow’ parts of those questions. And, as I am explaining in my class for Astrologyhub.com, there is a ‘void’ for a while as this light shift is taking place. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it, but if you begin to see the ‘light’ start out doing some serious research on the most strategic way to make these big changes. Preparation is the key to successful change.

The way to handle this is to think seriously about what needs purging in your life. You won’t come up with an answer on how to make this happen right away, but about 90-days later, around middle to late July (if not sooner) it becomes clearer and clearer as time moves forward. This eclipse is quite like the last two that occurred close to this degree, in late April 1994 and late April 2004. The difference between then and now is that Pluto is stuck in a hard angle a square position.

Many of those issues you faced in these last two cycles now have come to a place where the transition is imminent changes you may have started or avoided during the last cycles of either 19 or even 38 years! You are guided to make the right decisions because, and fortunately, Jupiter (protection) is right above the eclipse, traveling over its degree later this month and through early May. The help you need is close but don’t judge how it will happen and work on visualizing change and Jupiter will figure it out for you. This is where a daily meditation or quiet time helps draw the positive towards you.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I have a little sign, that I keep in my home, and it says:

Good morning, this is God. I will be managing all your problems today. I will not need your help. So have a nice day!
