Micro-Forecast: March 20 to 26, 2023

March 20, 2023

Monday at 5:24 PM the Sun enters tropical Aries, and we enter Spring Equinox. Equinox means equal day and equal night. The days get longer in the Northern Hemisphere, going forward. Spring Equinox is considered the starting point for the zodiacal year. We look at the aspects of that chart’s moment to tell us many things, most importantly how we will fare over the course of the next few months as well as the year. I propose that anything you were incubating back at Winter Solstice, or, ideas you were throwing around and examining, will be far clearer to you over the course of this next week.

The above idea is supported by the New Moon in Aries on Tuesday (always interesting when it falls with the Equinox). I view this as the needed extra shot of warrior energy. Assertive decision making is terrifying but also invigorating. If you have a good plan, then go for it. Don’t worry if you aren’t that good in the beginning of this. Don’t feel you are all alone in this new position or juncture because you are not. Ask for help as you try new things. Let go of the go and admit where you may have to increase your learning curve. This is empowering and endears you to others with whom you associate.

We also have Pluto leaving Capricorn (until June) and trying on how it feels in the sign of Aquarius starting on Thursday March 23 at about 8:14 am Eastern Time. This means that Wednesday feels very pushed because it is Pluto’s last day in Capricorn. Pluto is in Aquarius for just a few months until sometime in June when it again returns to Capricorn in 2024.

These first few months of the new cycle may feel on, then off, then on again. Think of this as a cosmic aerobic for soul muscles. What do you really need to survive, what can you really do without? Do you prefer expansion into a larger framework of your life or are you okay with where you are now?

There are no clear answers on Thursday, but the conversation begins in trying to figure this whole thing out and could take, frankly, two years until Pluto finally stays in Aquarius. Baby steps of change are the way to do this. Nothing happens overnight.  Think about the changes you went through requiring huge choices – often large financial choices – the last few times Pluto ingressed into other signs…like in 1983 to 1984 (Pluto Scorpio); like in 1995 (Pluto Sagittarius); like in 2008(Pluto Capricorn)??? Yes, it’s that time again…cosmic change time!

I’m thrilled to be participating in Astrology Hub’s FREE online panel event called Game-Changing Transits! This event will feature myself and 11 other astrologers who will be upcoming Inner Circle astrologer-teachers talking about how you can work with some of life’s most impactful transits. These moments can be exciting and challenging at the same time, and having tools to navigate them really makes all the difference! We’ll discuss personal transits like the Saturn Return and Uranus Opposition AND the collective transits happening this Spring.
