We are moving into eclipse season along with Mars beginning to turn retrograde in the next week. The New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at 2˚ Scorpio is affecting many of those planets in the chart as well as angles at early degrees of fixed signs like Aquarius, Taurus, and Leo. I always say this, and it is worth repeating, when you are in the throes of an eclipse, there seems to be a lack of ‘light’ or ‘insight’. This is not the time to be making decisions because you are in its shadow. Usually about 90 days later around late January in this case, insight appears.
Since Mars is about to go retrograde on Sunday October 30, this is good advice, since Mars, the more ancient ruler of Scorpio, begins its retrograde movement until mid-January 2023. The decisions you made in these last weeks are good and now with this retrograde Mars, you figure out how to do this or that, optimizing those decisions as best you can. You figure out another way of approaching a prior project now requiring finessing and a more efficient model. Mars is in Gemini, there are so many ideas out there with this configuration. They all seem great, but you cannot do it all!
Retrograde Mars is about exploring different problem-solving strategies or software and/or re-evaluating what you use and how to use it better and more efficiently. Travel, cars, any vehicles that move you from here to there may require a yet unseen repair. Delays in travel require a more flexible attitude if things go upside down. Recovery of injuries may seem to take longer than expected, allow the extra time to heal and get it right. I always think that delays, regardless of how awful they seem, open a space to nail something down for good.
Mars has to do with manufactured goods, manufacturing, and the USA chart has Mars in Gemini where Mars is retrograde until mid-January 2023. Could it be factories are rebuilding their equipment so that they are more competitive in their industries? What parts of a company, a factory, a manufacturing plant are now obsolete? This retrograde offers a time to do a cost factor evaluation.
A cost evaluation of any projects in which you are involved beg examination during this time. What works, who can help you, and what parts of the project you are doing need to be released? Are you in need of a helper or an assistant to make your day more efficient allowing you to focus on what you are best at – so that more is done with less stress? Doesn’t that sound better than holding on to all of it?
Mars has much to do with our egos, too. How others see us in the world, particularly regarding how we think or process information. This is not the time to let the ego get in the way thinking that you have all the answers. Instead, this is a great time to ask others, from different age groups, and different backgrounds their thoughts and ideas on something you are doing in your field. This opens a dialogue and a larger exchange of ideas while enriching everything.
