Micro-Forecast: May 9 to 15, 2022

May 9, 2022

Vulnerability. A good word. Not easy to express and certainly not easy to live with. We are in between two very strong eclipses, the one we had on April 30 and the one coming up this coming Sunday. The one coming up this Sunday is a Full Moon (Lunar Eclipse) when the Earth gets between the Sun and Moon. It is also a Total Lunar Eclipse, which increases our emotions 150% making those things raw in our psyches that we are often apt to set aside or ignore. Though raw this eclipse is also in a challenging aspect to Saturn, which may steady the calamity we feel either within ourselves or as the anchor for others feeling that way.

Eclipses return about every 19 years following the Lunar Nodes as they return again and again like clockwork. The last time we had a similar eclipse to this one was May 16, 2003 and at a fairly close position around May 4, 1985! We can go all the way back to dates like May 13, 1957 where this issue of vulnerability arose on different levels as we mature at different levels. I want to address the issue of vulnerability in this week’s forecast.

The eclipses travel with the Moon’s nodes (the Moon rules memory and emotions) and there is always a North Node, where we are asked to take risks and a SOuth Node where the universe begs us to look at how we keep shooting ourselves in our own feet so to speak. The South Node is and continues to run through Scorpio, which is a sign that does NOT like being vulnerable. Remember the Scorpion is the only animal on earth that will kill itself by its own sting! However….with Saturn operating here along with a positive and protective influence from Jupiter (luck) in the last days of Pisces, this is one of the few times, in this eclipse series that being vulnerable brings you before the people you can trust and to whom you can reflect your deepest concerns so that in fact, you can heal. Please remember this as the effects of this eclipse will continue all through the summer months. And as the days pass, we become braver as Jupiter enters a brand new 12-year cycle entering in Aries on Tuesday May 10, tomorrow, but more of that next week. For now – think about the issue of bravely turning up your soft side to those you intuitively trust in either business or in your personal lives. It is a powerful as well as empowering experience.
