This is a truly Martian type of week. This doesn’t mean that Martians are descending upon the earth – but it may feel like some of those folks with whom you’ve shared closer relationships have become more alien in many ways. The Wednesday November 10 aspects are intense and accompanied by our friend Mercury, the little ally we need when we walk through the Underworld, who stirs up pots, so we keep seeing things differently gaining more insight on how to proceed with a problem or challenge. Wednesday feels like a day in which to exercise caution in an agreement, a sales meeting, a writing project. You ‘might’ feel stuck because you don’t have enough information – which means you need to do more research. Sometimes we get frustrated when this aspect happens, and it isn’t easy because that same day Mercury (communication) is aligned with Mars (who can be divisive). Mercury/Mars aspects are irritating. People lose their patience, their tempers and if that happens – ask for a truce – and a reset at another meeting for the following week on November 18 when the aspects are a little better.
One technique for working with this energy is to take a serious inventory of the behavior that keeps returning that we never move through. Another way is to start a serious housecleaning in your living environment – that does wonders. Mercury in hard aspect to Saturn allows you to be more detached from those things you keep holding onto (that translates to literal things as well as ideas or beliefs). I think that when we experience blocks at every turn, it serves one of two purposes. First, to see if you really want that something. I had a wonderful therapist years ago who used to say that every time you go to try something new, sometimes there will be blocks and this is a test to see if it is important for you at this time. Secondly, it may be a message to try a different direction or road. Saturday’s opposition between Uranus (the great awakener) and Mercury (communication) could bring a sudden opportunity that seemed unattainable just a brief time ago. If you’ve worked hard at knocking out the things that need completion, you’ve opened a space where new things can come in.
Since Uranus rules electrical connections and technical connections, there may be difficulties, storms, power outages, or your car or computers or phones – anything electronic – may need a reset, or to get fixed or replaced. Traveling on this aspect is questionable since Uranus is quite erratic and, in an opposition, (180°) to Mercury – suggests long hours of waiting because something isn’t working out there in the air waves.
