This week as Mercury catches up to where it went retrograde on September 27 (yes, it is direct) but it isn’t until it reaches its ‘shadow’ position, which is Wednesday November 3 that it gets back on board with where it was trying to go in late September. Usually, we see issues that have been plaguing people regarding what is fair, relationships, legal issues (all Libra type issues) start to reach a resolution and clarity as we arrive at the shadow position. Sometimes there is fallout since this planet has much to do with commerce, our youth, travel, and contract news. Mercury reaches its crescendo as we get closer to Tuesday November 2 and the Wednesday November 3 dates.
Sometimes this is an indicator of someone drawing a line in the sand as to what they will do and what they won’t do. Sometimes it is about finally finding the research or the right employee that warrants a decision you’ve been pondering for weeks on end. Sometimes it just means watch your driving and walk away when the younger members of the family (Mercury) are in a challenge mode – perhaps table a decision for closer to end of the week. It can be a confrontational aspect where polarizing opinions may get in the way of success. However, since this aspect has happened twice already as Mercury was retrograde – this may simply mean people step up and decisions are made, things are found out or discovered and we all move on.
This is appropriate in that we have a new lunar cycle, a New Moon, beginning on Thursday November 4 at 13° Scorpio. The entire month (27 days) is more intense than usual because in a couple of weeks on November 19, we begin the new series of eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio. The last time they visited us at these positions were about 18.6 to 19 years ago – or – April 2003 to January 2005 and before that September 1984 to April 1986. Those of you who were born during these times are having what we term your Lunar Nodal returns. These are significant periods in our lives when we opportunities present themselves. These moments in time afford us windows of insight into our ‘life’ meaning or direction. Sometimes this lunar node return time requires more courage in taking calculated risks which move the needle towards more growth. This is part of what happens when we have these returns.
This new cycle that begins with the lunar eclipse on November 19, 2021 may not become clear as to the direction you choose to take until about 3 or 6 months after that date. The other thing that is very unusual about this upcoming cycle particularly close to the middle or end of 2022 is that the chaos surrounding each of us – may only be a larger cosmic signal (I call it the ‘antenna to God or Spirit’) that we really need to listen to. If we listen to our instincts and move past our fears – after serious self-examination, magical opportunities can present themselves. If we resist, dig our heels into the ground, refuse to change particularly when it comes to judgements that really have no bearing, then things tend to blow up in our faces, so we do change. We aren’t there yet, and self-examination begins with the upcoming eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio for the next year and a half.
Looking at the parts of ourselves that we hold at bay and deny any sort of confrontation with them can be troublesome and tricky. This is the lesson of the South Node moving through Scorpio starting in January 2022. This direct look behind the curtain of our subconscious empowers us. We become more understanding and forgiving and, hopefully, compassionate. Letting go of the things of the past that created difficulties helps us all move forward with more joy and the potential for a more balanced prosperity. It all starts with this week’s New Moon in Scorpio offering fresh new starts over the course of these next few weeks.
This weekend I am on the team presenting the NCGR Regional Conference on Bridging the Gap. It is an online conference and should prove to be an exciting weekend. Here is the registration information at https://geocosmic.org/conferences/
There is a little video conversation between Rachel Lang and myself at my website promoting the event. Rachel is the coordinator for the event and a delight, and we had a fun talk at the interview so here is the link for that: https://starcycles.com/live-events/
