I’m back after a needed break. I am slowly getting back to typing and want to thank you all for your patience as I recovered from this last hand surgery. I am good to go now – and with a little bit more physical therapy – getting ready for the next season. Funny thing about not using your right hand or arm (last year) if that is your dominant hand. You begin to move differently throughout your day. You eat slower, you must ask for help in opening those jars or cutting your food. A good lesson about learning to receive. Thanks for all those good wishes that you sent and the help from dear friends and family.
I think this process engaged the other side of my brain actively and as a result, I am rethinking about what and where to go next with my practice. I have a lot more ideas that flew in and now it’s time to process those thoughts. As many of you know, I am not taking private clients right now and have supplied you with several excellent astrologers to which I can refer you while I move through this time. I have realized that I have not had enough time for reframing and organizing my work of the last 45 years. So, I am streamlining all parts of my life. I think I turned a corner in the last few days after that New Moon at 15̊ Virgo on Monday, September 6, which happened to be 90-days after the June 10 eclipse in Gemini. Between late August and that September date, all of us were experiencing the ‘ah-ha’ that often accompanies the 90-days after eclipses. This time often brings the peripheral vision needed to move past our psychological blocks and blind spots. I hope what I am saying resonates with all of you. It is quite freeing.
I always talk about this post-eclipse period with clients and whenever I present classes on eclipses. This last Saturday, September 11 I presented a three-hour workshop on eclipses for AOA and that will be available soon at the website. The point here is that until we move through that 90-day window, we don’t always see clearly what it is we can or need to do in moving forward. This doesn’t mean that we magically wake up exactly 90-days later and suddenly know everything, but…we do get ‘something’.
As this week unfolds, the Sun is trining Pluto (a lovely aspect). It is on Thursday, September 16 and is accompanied with a more challenging aspect between Saturn and Venus, giving us a little sweet and a little salt! Isn’t that perfect as we move into Libra season soon? This combination might bring a great idea that with a little push can blossom. This is important as Mercury begins its retrograde motion on Sunday September 26 at 25̊ Libra. I can hear you all getting grumpy when I say that. So, let’s reframe this.
Mercury retrograde allows all of us to get it together. Get things in order. Stop doing things that are irrelevant, unsatisfying, and just plain old patterns that keep us stuck. Cleaning out closets, drawers, and even intestines are all very Virgo related or sixth house! Diets, eating better food, putting together a better schedule that works for you, and thinking about moving more and sitting less are part of this process. These rea the gifts offered by this tri-annual cycle that goes direct on October 18 (when lots of other planets go direct).
For me, I am finishing the writing of classes and workshops to which I’ve committed. I am getting ready to go back to my home in St. Petersburg, Florida in late January and finally taking the design classes scheduled to begin in Spring 2020 and that didn’t happen. I have been putting a lot of time into our non-profit 501C3 Foundation, the Alexandria iBase Library Project (www.alexandriaibase.org) which grew markedly in 2020and 2021. In 2022 we have a fabulous project scheduled which will scan portions of a very rare astrological collection and permissions given to upload them at AIP. So that fundraiser is in progress – another item on my plate. Life is fast and moving in so many directions. This is a heart-centered, passion project. So, what is yours?
What is calling you as we move through these very distinctive times that continue giving us the perspective of how precious life is and how its moments are fleeting? What passionate project do you need to make time for? What new ideas will change the way you live and work in the world? Yes, the world is messy right now, but the world is always messy when transit Saturn is in a closing square to Uranus, the rebel. This has been going on all year and continues through next year, but…and there is a big ‘but’ here….the more we adapt and change, the less chaotic life becomes. There are lots of new ways of doing things and it is time to add some new skills to our already existing skill sets and explore! A lot of this is covered in forecasts included in the NEWLY RELEASED 2022 Starcycles Cheat Sheet.
See you all next week.
