Mercury has a few more days in fixed Leo. Fixed energies and Mercury (thinking) can make people fixed in their ideas and opinions. As Mercury enters its own sign Virgo on Wednesday August 11, the fluidity of thought comes more easily and with great assistance from the Venus trine Pluto on the same day. Venus trine Pluto is a great combination for making something beautiful out of something that wasn’t immediately recognizable as beautiful and perfect for the situation at hand. It’s like going through an old house or a garage sale and finding that one item that is all dusty and dirty and no one really pays attention to it because it is behind all those other not so nice items. I remember when I was remodeling my place in St. Petersburg, Florida, something I really love to do, I saw a lot of signs for garage sales, but only stopped when ‘something’ told me to stop. The building and my loft are very Art Deco, and this garage sale didn’t have items that fit, but I went through this one pile of old torn prints, and framed pictures – none of which worked at all – and hiding way behind them was this magnificent Art Deco Goddess painting that was perfect! If I hadn’t had the patience to look and look because ‘something told me’ to keep looking, I never would have found her.
This is kind of a theme for this week, patience leads to discovery. Intuition of the Venus opposite Neptune at the beginning of the week leads to an idea, or an instinct or a thought as to who to call or where to go. I know it doesn’t make any sense, but it is one of those weeks that your instincts will serve you well. As the week continues, and, you get closer to Sunday August 15, Venus enters her own sign of Libra and this is the perfect sign to which to beautify an environment, a home, an office, a classroom, and be led, by intuition, to the places that call you. And it makes for a great deal of fun!
