Today is Memorial Day in the USA. This is the day we remember our families, our heroes, and those who have long passed. I find myself being very sentimental on this day and make an annual trip to the place at which some of my loved one’s rest to remember them. In many ways, Memorial Day is like the Mexican El Día del Los Muertos that we celebrate on October 31 — which is Halloween in our culture. Remembering and acknowledging those who helped us, who have gone before is important and with Mars in Cancer (family) and Neptune in Pisces in a lovely trine aspect, this is the perfect way to take some time to remember.
Thinking about families and homes and anything that has to do with our ‘clans’ continues to be highlighted as we move through the week and Venus enters the sign of Cancer on Wednesday June 2. On Thursday, this same Venus in Cancer is in a beautiful alignment with fortunate Jupiter in Pisces…there is a deep feeling, of love, of security in these days as Saturn is also working with the energies stabilizing the support, we may feel we need after the possible disruptions of the eclipse from last week. This is a lovely aspect to make a call and sort out a misunderstanding with one you love.
Mercury continues its retrograde motion and still maintains its lovely aspect to Neptune on Saturday, which is perfect for resting, creating and or meditating. Neptune has insights if we just allow a little down time. This is a lovely weekend to get away and conduct a retreat for either yourself or with others who are part of your ‘healthy’ pod. This could help assuage any impending power struggles that may lie beneath the surface as Mars and Pluto are opposite each other through the weekend — and suggests a group project where pent up energies can be diffused with projects.
