Micro-Forecast: March 29 to April 4, 2021

March 29, 2021

Mercury, the planet of communication, is still in the sign of Pisces and today it lines up with Neptune providing a sleepy or unfocused moment or two. The positive about these two conjoining is that it is also a great time to operate in a more creative, right brained way. If you enjoy art or music or dance or theater, allow yourself some sort of treat that includes these activities. Meditating also helps to settle all the anxious energy that seems to be hanging around these days as several planets are still in Gemini. Gemini, an air sign, can also affect sleep patterns at night — creating more discord in the day. Therefore a few moments alone to focus each day is suggested.

More appropriately, since we are now in the week after the Full Moon, this is the waning, or dying on the vine, part of the monthly Moon cycle. Once we get through the dreaminess of Monday, both Tuesday and Wednesday are excellent days to hunker down and put together a plan, a project idea, a construction bid, a proposal, and if you need some outside input to tweak that project idea, Wednesday and Thursday are both wonderful days in which to engage someone who might be able to problem solve or figure out the part of your proposal that is baffling you.

Thursday’s April Fools Day beckons the trickster in you to have fun with those who know you and lighten up the serious focus of the last few days. Thursday’s Mercury (communication and contracts) is in a fab configuration with Pluto. Pluto is very black and white, asks very pointed questions, wants to get to the bottom of what the issue truly is. This is a great time to engage this energy and examine the ‘holes’ or concerns you have regarding a proposal or a contract. There are red flags that are there, and it is suggested that you pay attention to them. Pluto’s position here also offers an opportunity for doing serious research on something you’ve been working on.

Friday is Good Friday and the last day Mercury is in Pisces finishing up at the 29th degree, which is on the fixed star we call Scheat. There are many opinions about Scheat. Diana Rosenberg who was a specialist in Fixed Stars once told me that Scheat is in the constellation of Pegasus, who flies above the chained woman, Andromeda in the sky. Diana’ take on Scheat was not the regular astro take that it where all the difficult things pile up, but, instead, represents a kind of ‘release from bondage’. In the case of Mercury, the planet of communications, finishing up at this degree — this might indicate that the confusion or indecision of these last few weeks breaks open and in its wake is a clarity as Mercury enters Aries on April 3.

Mercury is finishing up its annual cycle that began April 12, 2020—where many of us have had to endure and change the deeper psychological shadows of our existence and as a result our awareness and ability to see things more clearly has presented itself through the difficulties of this last year. For many youths, they have had to grow up and quickly as they have been faced with a vastly different social sphere. More isolation and less of an ability to be with their peers has created a new maturity in the young in the world who have never had to grow up as quickly. This change- this new thinking — perhaps has made people more empathic — or at least that is the hope.

Mercury in Aries suggests a new course of thinking allowing for more pioneering ideas, new directions never considered and even decisions to change jobs or occupations and learn something new — all appropriate as the entire world is moving through the exceedingly rare Last Quarter (closing square) of Saturn to Uranus in 2021. This last occurred in the late 1970s and the late 1930s. This breaks down infrastructure and careers and industries as we know them — and the best way through is to learn, learn and learn new skills — explore new thought patterns and be willing to let go and take a strategic risk. Mercury in Aries will help that. Sunday April 4 is Easter and Passover ends. We are now officially in the ‘real’ spring season and it is time to plant that garden — either physically or psychologically while removing the fears holding us prisoner for the last year. Yes, it is time for ‘release from bondage’.
