This is the last day that the Sun passes through tropical Capricorn and on Tuesday, January 19 in midafternoon the Sun moves into Aquarius, an air sign. Aquarius can be very erratic in its behavior and with Mars, the god of War, aligning itself with Uranus, the revolutionary, there are sure to be some fireworks surrounding this week. Since I do write these weekly forecasts long before the weeks in which they occur, I can only imagine — from the news and the chaotic changes of the last few months that our best bet is to remain grounded this week. Do not allow yourself to get caught up in political angst, or explosive arguments as we move through this week.
In America it is the week of the US Inauguration at Noon on January 20 in Washington, D.C. and that is the day where Mars and Uranus are precisely aligned. There are going to be some surprises in the inner circles of Washington and my hopes that the threatened militia marches in D.C. are squelched before they begin — because there are possibilities of exactly that occurring. Or, that people just wake up, that it is time to cooperate. We all have choices, because we do have free will and must be willing to take the consequences of actions not thought out or very thought out.
It is also important to not respond to the volatility you see in the markets. Vesta, the asteroid, that is often associated with devotion and dedication but also is part of the word in-vest-ment, is retrograde today 21◦ Virgo 24’ and causing some stark contrast to the Total Eclipse of December 14, 2020. This is a good time to review savings, budgets, and portfolios. And to NOT panic. Too many people panic and sell things when they see things drop — when, in fact, these are often the best times in which to participate in the markets with conservative investments and plan for when these moments in time occur throughout the year. The entire year may be a roller coaster of ups and downs in the markets since there are rare aspects occurring that often reflect just that.
As for you personally, think before you speak, act, or react. Think before you get behind the wheel. And, most importantly, with all the Aquarian (air) energies surrounding us throughout this year — stop occasionally and do something that puts you back into your body where you can get anchored. This is a perfect use of a First Quarter Moon (the organization Moon) occurring on January 20.
Aquarius is the sign of extremes. There are different extremes. There are the extremes of bipolar disorder where people are up and down in hyperactive state and then deep depressive states which can be managed with assistance. There are also the extremes of overreacting to situations that do not warrant those types of overreactions and then there are physical body extremes — where if you feel like you are about to burst — stop, look around your office, your home, your car, your garage and start dumping things or giving things away to community organizations that can more likely use the items that you no longer need. This serves two purposes; it gets you out of your head — an exercise I will be encouraging throughout this year, and gets your entire body moving to channel all the nervous energies. Secondly, it moves your mind away from the disorder and chaos and returns you back to yourself. If you don’t focus on the mental concerns and just move, the brain will often figure it out when you aren’t looking!
