Micro-Forecast: January 11 to 17, 2021

January 11, 2021

This week welcomes the New Moon at 23◦ Capricorn 13’ at either 9 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday January 12 or on Wednesday, January 13 at midnight for Pacific time. This is an intense New Moon, which usually brings new ideas and change. It is intense because it accompanies good old Pluto over the course of those few days while Uranus, the god of chaos and unexpected events, turns direct on Thursday January 14 just after midnight Pacific time. Pluto is an administrator of death (endings) but only allows to die that which is no longer viable. Pluto always leaves something good, though, a bit of psychic gold, of insight, or awareness, and a push to move forward even though the grief is there. One of the key words for this new year is: Forgiveness. And being aware that not all beings are as aware as others. We don’t really forget, but we can forgive, and that forgiveness is psychic currency to proceed forward in a positive and constructive way. Pluto loves to build and not only destroy, so engage that part of this alignment this week.

The good news is the New Moon in steady Capricorn along with Pluto also holds the space for creative options and surprises. They say planning is everything.

If you’ve been using your Covid quarantine time to get things done, get papers in order, getting rid of things you don’t need, cleaning off desks, and just simplifying your life (remember the peduncle mentioned last week?), then the opportunity out of the blue that is offered by Uranus moving direct at 6◦ Taurus 43’ (January 14) can bring someone into instantly assist you, or be that person you happened to meet on Zoom that has a contact that they can put you in touch with to finish your project, or, the rest of the confusing puzzle on how to make a dream happen — suddenly appears. Uranus is often considered to be destructive in some circles, but it isn’t if you are prepared and willing to accept that things have changed. It does tend to feel like you are there one minute and then gone the next because the planet Uranus rules the winds of time, the information coming in from all directions — some of which are confusing and some of which are just true.

Each year I make up what I call a treasure map. This is the perfect week in which to do that. You pick a color that resonates with you, across the top you write ‘Under the light of Spirit and for the Good of all’. You focus on one thing, one dream only (regardless of whether your voice of judgment is coming in and telling you, you can’t do that) and you start cutting out newspapers, pictures, writing slogans or sayings that all relate to a dream or a train of thought that is leading you to a place that feels really inspiring.

That somewhere may not yet be clear but will manifest over time with this treasure map idea. I do one each year. Funny thing, sometimes I do it with friends and many times I do it on my own. I listen to music, shut off the phones, and just do silly cut and paste things — THEN I put it away. Sometimes I don’t look at it again until the end of the year. The amazing thing about these is that whatever that something was that you were cutting and pasting — even if you didn’t know what would happen –it often manifests at the end of the year. Again, this is the week in which to do that.

New Moons are about planting seeds and with this New Moon next to Pluto, it is about transformation and with Uranus going direct, call out to the universe that you are ready to invite in those like-minded souls sharing the same values whose skills complement your skills while your skills compliment them. One can do awesome things with this kind of community thinking.
