Today is the day of the TOTAL Solar Eclipse at 23◦ Sagittarius. Total eclipses are intense and this one is close to the Galactic Center where the Sun will travel over the course of this next week. When things pass through the Galactic Center, changes happen fast! The last four dates where the solar eclipse was close to this date were:
- December 13, 1974
- December 15, 1982
- December 14, 1995
- December 14, 2001
You may wish to review how your life changed in the following months after these dates, since eclipses return to the same place in the sky and to the same place in your natal chart, will often bring a new development that derives from the evolutionary changes you experienced during these times. I often compare this to a strand of DNA and how we evolve as individuals over time. This same idea crosses over from personal lives but also throughout historical events.
This week, however, is a week of mass changes. The Sun is passing through the Galactic Center as mentioned previously. And on Wednesday, Saturn enters Aquarius where it will travel for 2 ½ years. Saturn in Capricorn will not return to Capricorn where it spent the last 2 ½ years for another 29 1/2% years! On Saturday, Jupiter also enters Aquarius. This sets up next week’s unique and unusual 20-year cycle of Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius. The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction almost always begins brand new business cycles with all types of new ideas but with the check of Saturn, which regulates. It is a sign of extremes and its baby beginnings it is possible to see extremes at the beginning of this cycle, but it will settle into itself over time.
Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius are quite different energies than the often slow and unyielding sign of Capricorn, where Jupiter has been over the course of this last year and where Saturn has been for the last 2 ½ years. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus which is the planet outside of our visible solar system and is a planet of revolution, chaos but also a planet of new ideas that spur change. Aquarius is associated with community work, working with others in groups, networks, the collective, and ideas that are Promethean in scope. Get ready for some new ideas, new technologies, new solutions to network problems, perhaps even creating national databases for better health, more efficient information and systems that reaches over 325,000,000 people, and more. It takes time…we begin the journey in that direction.
Jupiter entering Aquarius ignites new ideas, sometimes extreme, but with the help of Saturn in Aquarius, the cosmic manager, helps to put the most outrageous as well as the most fantastic into some form or order. I wrote a great deal about this in my book Pushing through Time: Synodic Cycles and Their Developing Cycles. I also presented a short 30- minute presentation on this topic for the virtual ISAR conference in September. I will be revisiting those thoughts and ideas at some of the upcoming online lectures for 2021 listed at our www.starcycles.com website. And…over the next couple of months, will probably list that 30 minutes presentation at our website to share with you my readers, when I return in January, we will let you know.
And in an interesting closing note for this week and Monday, December 14, 2020…
“NEWS NOTE: Since 1936, federal law has provided that the electors in all the states and the District of Columbia, meet “on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December next following their appointment” to vote for president and vice president.”
