On Thursday September 14, is another New Moon (new beginning) offering new starts for the next 28 days. The New Moon is in Virgo at 25◦ and in a lovely balance (trine) to Saturn in Capricorn, helping to anchor Mars which is retrograde now. Normally, the support of Saturn isn’t there while Mars is retrograde, but this cycle is different. Though a retrograde Mars may be cause for frustration, the steady hand of Saturn is there to keep us moving forward with a basic stability. This also helps curb over reaction and impulse and a lot of us will stop to think before we act.
Since this is a New Moon week, the promise of new projects is in the air. Over the course of these last few months, all of us have explored different technologies, many of whom have become quite familiar with online classes and communications. We are exploring new ways of thinking, new ways of studying, or exploring galleries and museums and attending or teaching schools.
Mars retrograde affords us the opportunity to figure out technological systems requiring updating, and then ridding ourselves of outdated systems. Once done, there are many people looking for work now, with high levels of skills, that are willing to work full or part time in helping develop all the new systems and ideas that will come out of this Mars retrograde period that takes us out to the end of the year.
By the end of this week, the next 90-days trigger date that happens after the June 21 eclipse period begins. It starts on Saturday September 19 and continues through Fall Equinox which is next week — September 22. These 90-day periods are when we see the ‘light’ and figure out that which confused us in late June. That eclipse was on the Summer Solstice, one of the four seasonal turning points in the zodiac. There are many ideas that suddenly appear regarding our homes, our families, and sorting through family obligations and challenges.
