Tuesday August 18, we have a New Moon (new beginnings) at 27◦ Leo. That New Moon is still working beautifully with Mars in Aries, allowing a few more days before Mars goes retrograde on September 9. There is support between Venus, the planet of relationship working with Neptune. A little romance always helps ease the moments.
Markets may pop up this week on the 17th as Mercury and the Sun conjoin while finishing up in the sign of Leo and then entering its own sign of Virgo on Wednesday August 19. It could feel like you are being pushed towards a deadline that you tried to make last month. This is a better window this week.
As Mercury enters Virgo, on Wednesday August 19, we move into the ‘sorting’ phase of the year. Virgo is about sorting things out. Separating the things, we really don’t need, from things we really do need and allowing us to operate more efficiently. As Mercury continues its transit through the earth sign of Virgo while approaching the last couple of days of August and early September, the pressure builds up and we finish sorting through our things to free up some space.
This support continues through Saturday August 22 when the Sun enters Virgo as well. The Sun in Virgo offers the ability to be more skeptical, to think about things before deciding on something and asking the right questions. This is helpful when dealing with all our issues surrounding relationships, politics, and the news of the last week of August. Venus begins to oppose the more difficult planets of Saturn and Pluto. Skepticism is healthy during this aspect, so we don’t get sucked into believing a position that isn’t founded on truth. Try to see both sides of issues and let’s use this time that planets are in Virgo to come up with systems and solutions. This is the beauty of Virgo.
