Micro-Forecast: August 3 to 9, 2020

August 3, 2020

The Sun is in Leo now and in the last 24 hours was pushing on volatile Uranus, the planet of revolution or upheaval. Since that just happened today, Monday August 3, there is also a Full Moon close to this configuration, so things can get volatile. People get angry or reactive because they feel deep psychic pressure. Since many planets are currently in fixed signs, a lot of tension may have to do with fear around material resources and the markets and one’s investments. Sometimes people get pushy on a Full Moon. With the Moon in Aquarius there could be extremes in one’s reactions and with the Sun in Leo further tension because everyone wants it to go their way. With volatile Uranus in the trifecta aspect with these two…just walk away if everyone starts digging in their heels. Revisit the issues in another day or two.

Today, August 3, Mercury is in the last degree of Cancer, which can get very emotional. Cancer is a very watery sign and holds on to a lot of issues surrounding home, family, security, and when it is in the last degrees can become more exasperated. You can also feel like you are going faster and faster and going nowhere. Tomorrow night, Tuesday August 4, Mercury enters Leo at 8:32 pm pacific time and at 11:32 pm eastern time and that might curb some of the emotional roller coasters of these last few days as Mercury is now in a fixed sign for four weeks. Fixed signs are often more stuck in their opinions and positions and are not as emotionally reactive. This works well until we get to next Monday August 10, when Mercury starts arguing with volatile Uranus…so this week is a great week to lay down the ground rules and put things in order.

With Venus in Gemini until Friday August 7 when it enters Cancer, there may be a lot of back and forth information — some reliable and some unreliable. One hand is not always talking to the other hand, so make sure if there is an important meeting, you have all opinions written down and who said what and when they said it. When Venus enters the sign of Cancer on Friday August 7 at 8:21 AM Pacific time, the mood shifts. Here we see less anxiety and calmer.

Doing things around our homes, making them more beautiful, cooking, feeding, finishing home projects that have been sitting for months now ground you. There is a need for family get togethers (as best as one can do this in this new reality of virtual visits) and making oneself as a good listener.

Politically we may get some ‘stories’ that everything is fine and going to be okay, but remember while Venus is traveling through Cancer for a few weeks, near the end of this cycle at the last week of August — things are not going to be so calm… stories, tales, newsfeeds are tainted by the fact that Venus enters an opposition to Saturn and Pluto, so buyer beware, or reader beware before deciding.
