There is a New Moon (new starts) on Wednesday April 22 at 3◦ Taurus. Normally, planets in Taurus are usually quiet and peaceful each year, but there is static electricity in the air as this particular New Moon is bookended, in front, by Saturn on Tuesday April 21, a strict, focused energy and then on Sunday the Sun conjoins with Uranus, on the other side, the electrical, magical, and out of the blue energy which often presents ah-ha experiences that whack us on the side of the head. By the way, if anyone has that old card deck, A Whack on the Side of the Head, this is a perfect time to pull that out and pull a card each day as each card gives you that ‘ah ha’ thought for the day. Amazing stuff.

Are you experiencing criticism from someone who is in charge at your job or a challenging family member? If so, please don’t react, as they are expressing their own frustration and a lot of volatile behaviors stem from fear or a not knowing which way things are going. Isolation does that to the more socially active types. There is, however, positive criticism as well as negative criticism and sometimes criticism is good to hear providing us with a different perspective on how we can improve our work or personal life.
The problem is that people don’t always know how to share that message in a way that allows us to be receptive. There are different styles of communication. There are the more emotional communicators versus the more logical communicators. One type doesn’t always understand what the other person is trying to convey. Those challenges are the root of why some people click with certain people and just can’t see eye to eye with another. So, again, exercising patience in your request for clarification is encouraged. And saying something like, “When you said this…., I felt like this…., and I wish you had said it this way….” That might help if you find yourself amid a ‘conversation’ that is going South.
With Mercury and Pluto in aspect next weekend and Pluto beginning its 6-month retrograde period on Sunday, this is a good time to really dissect a problem, figures, or edit articles or books. Researching, checking facts and verifying are all good practices for these aspects and are powerful if you are working on designing either a business plan or putting together a contract. As the weekend ends and Sun and Uranus come together, that extra insight that seals the deal shows up and you get to finish the rest of the story.
