Micro-Forecast: March 9 to 15, 2020

March 9, 2020

Mercury is finally direct at 28º Aquarius (see what happens when it looks like it is going backwards having started in Pisces?). Mercury likes being in Aquarius and has several more days before it re-enters Pisces on March 16, so make hay while the sun shines!

We also have a Full Moon at 20º Virgo on Monday March 9 which loves working with the current transits of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This making ‘hay while the sun shines’ period is glowing up to and around March 21 when Saturn enters Aquarius for a few months.

Saturn retrogrades back to Capricorn on July 1 one last time, but while it is in Aquarius, which is the sign of communications, networks, public information, AI, large groups, large commercial projects, the big picture, those ideas we were all batting around for some sort of change earlier in the year, are far more crystal clear. The sign of Aquarius is the sign of extremes and extreme behaviors too, so markets may be somewhat up and down as it is stressing transit Uranus and that can sometimes bring things down for a while.

Change always breeds new ideas and with that new job perspectives. So how do you want to work, or, what are the opportunities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and also offer opportunities for more people to work on commission (Uranus rules commissioned work) and opens our lives up to multi-type jobs or projects. Online information services that are backed up by solid facts and research will be all the rage, because people will be moving through a period where they wish to know the truth of the truth.

I know I haven’t really worked for anyone since 1977, even though I did sell real estate for a while, but that, too, is commissioned work. Of course, working for oneself is not for everyone, but it does allow job insurance when markets turn down or recessions hit. That sounds like a contradiction in terms, I know, but if you work for yourself, you can’t fire yourself, right? And if you work for others they can!

And the other option is new ways of working that are on contract, or for special projects, which may be extreme periods of time for each project, but which also offer better monies for those limited contract times. There is no need to make decisions now, as this ingress of Saturn entering Aquarius is only for a few months, offering everyone a ‘taste’ of more independence. No decisions may really be made until Saturn goes back to Capricorn in early July, but then it finally leaves Capricorn on December 17, 2020 and doesn’t return for 29.5 years.

On December 17, Saturn begins to cross the territory it crossed between March 21 and July 1. What will you have decided? What did you discard? What avenues have you explored? It all depends on the ‘frame of mind’ you are in, because Aquarius is an air sign, which represents the unbounded mind that is willing to move beyond the judgments of Capricorn (Saturn) and see further. What may seem new now may be losing ground and all types of territory is opening, where crossovers in fields like medicine, construction, air lines and air travel, are on the road of change.

There is a great song by one of my favorite singers, Michael McDonald, called “I Gotta Try”. Here are some of his lyrics:

Well, we all look for truth in this life
Searching with hope inside
If it’s so hard living in a desperate world
We all do the best that we can…

Some people see a change
Some will remain the same
Others will live their lives under the gun
Some see the road as clear
Some say the end is here…

Maybe it’s too much to think about
Maybe there ain’t nothin’ left to say
But if our time is really runnin’ out
Then this ain’t no time to run away…
