Micro-Forecast: September 7 to 13, 2026

September 7, 2026

This week may feel as though life is asking us to slow down a little, especially as Uranus begins its retrograde on Thursday, September 10. Wherever Aquarius appears in your chart—and wherever Uranus is moving through Gemini—you may now have a welcome chance to regroup over the coming months, until Uranus turns direct in early February 2027. I think this pause can be a gift. Many of us have been juggling too many projects, tasks, jobs, or ideas at once, and this retrograde gives us time to sort through them with more patience and order. The New Moon on September 10 at 18° Virgo adds some grounding earth energy wherever Virgo falls in your chart, helping us come back to what is practical, useful, and utterly worth tending.

That same day, September 10, transiting Venus enters Scorpio. Venus usually visits a sign for only a few weeks, but this time she stays in Scorpio much longer because she turns retrograde on October 3 and does not move direct again until early November. Venus retrograde can feel more intense, especially when she conjoins the Sun on October 24. Until then, wherever Venus is moving through your chart, she may gently show you a better way to approach the issues connected with that area of life—perhaps through the old “you get more flies with honey” approach, since Venus knows a great deal about grace, timing, and connection. As she conjoins the Sun and moves in front of it, she becomes more of a fire goddess (October 24), helping activate what you are creating, attracting, or trying to make workable. For me, on a practical personal note, Venus will move through my sixth house of files and closets, so I plan to use this transit to reorganize and rebuild the last closet in my home—my office closet, which feels like a perfect sixth-house project.

Because Venus enters Scorpio on Thursday, and Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, there are many meaningful ways to work with this energy. You might begin therapy, which is a very Plutonian act of courage; rebuild or restructure something that has quietly been bothering you; or draw toward you what is needed in the house Venus is moving through, since Venus carries the power of attraction. If she is traveling through your eleventh house, for example, you may look more honestly at your friendships, social circles, or organizations. As Venus turns retrograde on October 3, those groups may reorganize, rebrand, or shift in important ways. Wherever Venus is traveling, relationships come into focus as she approaches retrograde in late September and turns retrograde in early October, especially the tender question of whether they truly work for both people involved.

Mercury also enters Libra on Thursday, September 10, bringing a more neutral and balanced perspective just when we may need it. Mercury in Libra helps us weigh what is useful, what is not, and whether a particular approach truly fits. I always appreciate Mercury in air signs because it can help us step back, breathe, and respond with a little more objectivity. By the end of this week and into next week, Mercury will form lovely aspects to both transiting Pluto and transiting Uranus, creating a grand trine—a fortunate pattern that may help place you in the right place at the right time, perhaps with the conversation, insight, or opportunity you need.

For me, this week brings a long-awaited visit to Mackinac Island, just above Michigan—a place I have wanted to see since childhood. After a successful UAC, I am grateful for some much-needed rest and a little quiet time to gather my thoughts as we move into fall. I hope to work on my myth book and memoir while taking walks on an island with no cars. Imagine that. May this week give you the quiet space you need to listen inwardly, choose gently, and make room for what truly supports you.
