Micro-Forecast: August 3 to 9, 2026

August 3, 2026

In the next few days, transiting Mercury returns to where it first turned retrograde, often signaling that plans delayed a month ago may now begin to move forward again. Meanwhile, last week’s Full Moon may still be influencing this week as its energy continues to release. With transiting Jupiter in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius, many matters—both political and personal—were brought into clearer view. When a Full Moon touches Pluto on the Moon, plans, tasks, assignments, job options, or intentions may not unfold as expected. Yet within a few weeks, a more fitting path often appears—one that aligns more naturally with our needs and way of life. The saying still fits the energies around us now: when doors close, windows open.

Some of those opening windows may arrive as sudden insights—solutions that seem obvious once they appear, though no one had thought to ask for, pursue, or explore them before. This is especially true if you feel stretched thin by a project. Transiting Uranus, now in the early degrees of Gemini and still finding its footing there, is teaching us how to think beyond the familiar frame. Look around: friends, acquaintances, neighbors, or people from community projects may be ready for a new opportunity to share their gifts. The challenge is that we do not always recognize talent close at hand or see how collaboration can open new circles where people connect and work together toward a shared purpose.

Uranus in Gemini can bring sparks of insight: a sudden idea, a chance meeting, or the right person appearing at the right moment—if we are paying attention. Half the work of moving forward is noticing what is already around us, loosening old patterns, and allowing new possibilities to take form.

I’ve been trying many new things too. I’m returning to articles I wrote twenty or thirty years ago, revising them and letting them grow into more substantial pieces. I’ve also been taking writing classes and enjoying the process of creating short stories, along with an archetype and mythology book waiting in the wings for years. The editing tools in Word and Adobe have been especially helpful in bringing order and flow to the material. With Uranus now transiting Gemini—the natural third house of the zodiac—the timing feels well aligned.

The third house speaks to neighbors, conversation, editing, short courses, and shorter forms of writing such as screenplays, poetry, short stories, and what The Atlantic recently called micro-dramas—ten-minute stories with fictional themes or brief historical lessons. In my case, it also includes shorts on YouTube, where I’m at @Georgia_StarCycles. Gemini favors language that is brief, lively, and clear. It is also the sign of networking: knowing people who know people, making connections, and building community through shared exchange.

With Saturn recently retrograde in Aries, we have until late December to revisit, refine, and reshape ideas we have carried since the beginning of the year. Last week’s Full Moon may have revealed fresh ways to approach things differently. So, what are you feeling called to change? In other news, our new 2027 Cheat Sheet will be available for purchase and download on our website after I return from the United Astrology Congress in Chicago, September 3–8. Then I head up to Mackinac Island in Michigan for a little R&R and return to California on September 15 (we all have to take a little time off). My two presentation topics at UAC in Chicago are: Saturn: The Anatomy of Fear and the other is Rulerships: A Third-Dimensional View. I look forward to seeing you at UAC, where we will launch our new www.alexandriaibase.org website (free global database for astrological literature). Also watch for new storytelling alternatives coming to our podcast station this autumn. These are exciting times😊 What baby steps are you taking to make a few changes for yourself?

The August 12 Solar Eclipse in Leo invites a powerful question: where has our creative spark been waiting for it to return? First, however, we may need to take an honest look at what must be released or what no longer works—especially the small commitments and time demands we have quietly outgrown as our spirit longs for greater creative expression.
