As Mercury enters the sign of Cancer on Monday, June 1, it begins a more emotionally available week particularly since it is in a hard aspect to transiting Neptune. Mercury is about communications, commerce, ideas, negotiations, and in a sensitive water sign like Cancer, a need to be emotionally heard. With a square part to Neptune it brings in two opposite possibilities because all planets have two sides. Neptune is the slower planet of the two thus having a longer foothold in where it is in the sky. Neptune can be spacy, unclear, foggy, distracted or…it can be inspired, a fount of creative ideas, a need to explore Neptunian disciplines like dance, music, theater, photography. Neptune also rules oil and the confusion around oil may continue with bargaining behind the scenes.
Sometimes we are disappointed when this aspect occurs but the truth is if something isn’t clear or not working out, then this aspect gives you time to re-think and incubate other ways around a challenging idea. Clarity is far better next week when Mercury passes the square to Neptune and begins its square to Saturn the more inbound planet known for concrete or structured or organized patterns. So if the week feels as though nothing is happening – but ideas – bank those ideas – write them down – start a rough outline – sketch out ideas on paper or on your iPad or notebook – this is the essence that Neptune is known for – but not the full picture. This week offers a way to buy time to tease out things that aren’t working in agreements or to ask the question no one else is asking getting you to the heart of what is most important at this time.
