Micro-Forecast: May 11 to 17, 2026

May 11, 2026

On a personal note, I’m genuinely excited—and a little bit awed—to share that I’ve been nominated for one of the Marion D. March Regulus Awards at the upcoming United Astrology Conference (UAC) in September, right here in my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. For those unfamiliar, the Regulus Awards are often considered the “Oscars” of the astrology world. There are five categories, each with five nominees each, all remarkable in their own right. My category is Professional Image, and the winners will be announced at the Regulus banquet in September. Whether I win or not, I look forward to a memorable evening reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and spending time with some of the best astrologers around.

This conference is a rare event, happening only every six to eight years. I’ve been attending them since the 1980s, and it’s always a highlight—an inspiring opportunity to hear fresh ideas, share knowledge, and collaborate as a global community. If you’re a member of any participating organizations, I’d be honored if you considered my nomination (voting opened last week!). Now, let’s shift from this exciting announcement to some astrological news that may resonate with all of us.

Connecting this to my own experience, I’ve been reflecting on mid-May, which marks about 90 days since a particularly unusual eclipse on February 17, 2026, at almost 29 degrees Aquarius. You might wonder: what’s the significance of an “eclipse at 29 degrees Aquarius”? In astrology, an eclipse is a powerful celestial event that often signals major turning points, sometimes in the area of life connected to the sign and degree where it occurs. In Aquarius, it is the growing strength of the communities and large groups of people working towards a common goal. The 29th degree of a sign is considered a critical or “final” degree, often associated with endings, completions, or a push toward change. Aquarius is a sign linked to innovation, community, and forward-thinking. So, an eclipse here can spark unexpected shifts and breakthroughs, both personally and collectively, in our networks and communities.

On a broader scale, as Uranus—the planet of sudden change and awakening—finally exited Taurus, it won’t return for another 84 years! This transition felt significant, especially since, astrologically, Taurus is about material values, while Uranus represents surprise and revolution. When Uranus was at the very last degree of Taurus, it coincided with some dramatic world events, including, as many have noted, a troubling incident involving the president and his guests at a banquet. In just a few hours, transit Uranus would enter Gemini, leaving Taurus for 84 years. This highlights how astrological events sometimes mirror real-world happenings.

Now, Uranus has entered Gemini, a sign known for communication, adaptability, and curiosity. This is a much more comfortable place for Uranus, as Uranus rules Aquarius (an air sign), and Gemini is also an air sign along with Libra the third air sign – all of which will show great growth in these next years. Air signs are all about ideas, interaction, and movement. So, between May 15th and 17th, expect surprises, interventions, and sudden opportunities—especially those connected to the February eclipse. If you use our Starcycles Cheat Sheet (now on sale for $4.95) you will see these 90-days marked by little red firecrackers. These developments may be just beginning, not yet fully formed, and worth watching. You might also keep an eye out for further changes in mid-August 2026 when we have a solar eclipse at 20° Leo.

Introducing some analysis relevant to you: When a slower-moving planet like Uranus enters a new sign, it’s a bit like a baby taking its first steps—there’s uncertainty, wobbling, and gradual progress. Astrologers call this a “planetary transit,” which means the planet is moving from one sign to another, beginning a new chapter in its influence. Wherever Aquarius lands in your birth chart (a personal map of where the planets were when you were born) along with Gemini, you may notice subtle shifts, new awareness, or a more objective perspective emerging. This is a time for healthy perspectives and patience. Let ideas and opportunities percolate—sometimes it takes a while for them to bubble up to the surface.

On a personal note, Gemini energy is all about conversation, networking, and connecting with real people—not just online. There’s a quiet revolution happening in how we communicate. While Uranus in Taurus emphasized material gain and digital clicks, Uranus in Gemini invites us to engage in meaningful dialogue and creative problem-solving resulting from meaningful conversations. Uranus is like the magician of astrology, and Gemini is its apprentice—a time to learn, grow, and integrate with our communities. Instead of seeking revenge or holding onto old patterns, it’s time for real negotiators and those who embrace compromise to step forward. Thinking, listening rather than arguing, is the path to progress.

Let me explain another key concept: Mercury, the planet associated with Gemini, is all about thinking, communicating, and adapting. In Greek mythology, Mercury (Hermes) was unique—he could travel in and out of the underworld unharmed, embodying detachment and versatility. The staff of Mercury, called the caduceus, has two snakes entwined, representing commerce and peace. This is different from the physician’s staff, which has only one snake and symbolizes healing. So, Mercury’s energy is about peaceful commerce and creative exchange—an idea we could all use right now!

Connecting this to my own journey, at nearly 78 years old, I’m just starting to experience the rumbles of Uranus returning to late Gemini in my own chart and remembering all the crazy steps to becoming an astrologer – a very different direction than my family’s intention of me becoming an attorney or doctor. As Uranus entered Gemini last year, I thought about all the adventures that got me from there to here, not all planned –believe me – yet here I stand. I started writing a memoir as Uranus entered Gemini last summer and memories started flowing out of me like a faucet. It was a shocking yet welcome process that I had to stop due to personal challenges showing up in early November when Uranus went retrograde.

With the return of Uranus to that spot, I am back at it after my speaking commitments completed. This is timely because in astrology, a “Uranus return” occurs when Uranus comes back to the same place it was when you were born—this happens roughly every 84 years – and has a seven-year approach-where little rumbles begin – signaling a major awakening to one’s soul’s purpose. It’s never too late. Famous figures like Grandma Moses, who began painting in her later years, and Colonel Sanders, who found success with Kentucky Fried Chicken, both experienced their Uranus returns. Uranus is the cosmic wholesaler—if you can create something for one person, you might find a way to share it on a larger scale, especially if it inspires people to better solutions. Maybe these coming weeks will bring your own special awakening. Isn’t it fascinating how astrology can highlight these moments of discovery?

Before we close, let’s summarize the key points: Eclipses, planetary transits (like Uranus moving into Gemini), and personal milestones such as the Uranus return each mark times of change and opportunity. Whether you’re an astrology enthusiast or just curious, these events are invitations to reflect, connect, and engage with new possibilities. I encourage you to ask yourself: Where might these energies be showing up in your life? Are you ready for your next awakening? And…pay attention to what may suddenly appear in your life as an opportunity for growth in these next weeks.

Looking forward, I’ll continue to share stories and astrological insights, hoping to spark more moments of understanding and inspiration. Let’s stay connected and keep exploring together. You can also find me at www.youtube.com/@Georgia_StarCycles
