Sometime in your life you will feel as though you are going through a looking glass taking you to a world that is unfamiliar. You pinch yourself to see if you are dreaming, only to realize you are fully awake—just in unfamiliar territory. It may feel as though these last weeks have felt that way – recent planetary movements involving Saturn and Neptune in early Aries, a sign known for new beginnings and boldness, may have left many feeling unsettled. This sense of the unknown accompanied by a sense of not really knowing the next step may continue while transiting Mars continues through the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, through April 9. What helps during this morass of confusion is a more grounding change in planetary movements occurs on Monday as transiting Venus enters Taurus, its own sign. As these energies swirl, a shift arrives with Venus entering Taurus, bringing a welcome sense of stability for a few weeks until Venus aligns with Uranus – a significant shift in perspectives around April 25 to April 26, 2026. Taurus is a sign that always offers some sort of stability while putting the ship at least semi-upright while matters work themselves out. This helps anchor a lot of these lost or confused feelings you may be experiencing. Taurus, after all, is the earth element and we need a little earth right now to balance out all the bluster of the fire and water energies creating a lot of steam much like a pressure cooker where the heat has built up the steam so severely that something has to give.
Venus rules the sign of Taurus. She is comfortable in this sign and as I often tell my students, Venus, though known for her amazing social facility, also gets what she wants, because her motivation is desire and sometimes, she pushes that narrative even further. As Venus continues in Taurus over the next few weeks and comes to a hard square (a challenge) to transiting Pluto from Thursday April 4 through the weekend, she pushes for what she wants. A Venus square Pluto transit is known for intensity, for purposefulness, and this combination can feel a bit pushy – wanting what we want – and doing what we need to do to get it. The square between the two in a more positive expression pushes the urge to transform something – your body, your environment, your wardrobe, your crafts, or your projects – the possibilities are endless.
Venus with Pluto’s best expression is about transforming something that needs improvement. This can be as simple as finally painting that wall with a fresh new color or transforming the environment in which you find yourself working on a regular basis. She may also bring confrontations in relationships because Venus wants what she wants and she doesn’t always see the other side of the argument when Pluto is involved. Venus also identifies her deepest needs so she is functional. Listening is a key factor during this time. So what does one do? Consider channeling this intense energy into positive changes in your environment or relationships, focusing on what you truly want while remaining open to others’ perspectives.
