I presented my eclipse workshop last Saturday, which was prepared weeks in advance. As is my practice, I did not look at the news that morning – because I needed a walk to clear my head for what turned out to be a very successful workshop, but a dreadful day for the USA and the people of the earth. As I was showing the slide of the February 17, 2026 eclipse at 29° Aquarius and ‘showing’ that on the day of this workshop – February 28, transiting Mars was the FIRST planet to traverse that eclipse point – and one of my wonderful guests interrupted – which I appreciated – and told me that the USA with Israel had started a war and bombed Iran earlier that morning and Iran retaliated by hitting more regions – right on schedule – horrible and yet remarkable at the same time. Mars activates, it motivates, it pushes people to do things – and depending on how they’ve learned to manage their reactions to circumstances outside of their control – it can be violent or measured. Mars sets up a series of tit for tat when uncontrolled. I places lives on a rollercoaster out of our control, requiring measured responses to the chaotic change presented and how one reacts makes all the difference in the outcome. This entire month, Mars is very active in the sign of Pisces, usually not considered a ‘bad’ Mars or a very active Mars, but like all planets, Mars, or the sign in which we find it always has two sides.
Transiting Mars’ two sides of expression are either over-reactive, leading to reciprocal violence or strategic planning leading to potential success. In the sign of Pisces, has fish or larger sea creatures like sharks or whales, in the same family. Pisces, especially running with the Moon’s nodes is very emotional – creates tidal waves, tsunamis and hurricanes from which we don’t always recover but requiring planning in order to survive while we endure. How we respond to current circumstances makes it incumbent to think about what you can do on a daily basis to keep your ship upright. And at the same time – what you can do to work in a bigger more positive way creating change much like a large school of ‘well-intentioned’ fish – to bring about change. In America , we had primaries last week – and since I write these things ahead of time – I suspect that there was a boat that was capsized last week after the elections – but I may also be wrong. An example of large groups working together.
It is a known fact that when eclipses occur, especially lunar eclipses (full moons like last week) that the markets can be shifted drastically over the course of a two-week period – this is something I learned a long time ago from a great astrologer Pat Esclavon-Hardy. And last year in March – do you remember Liberation day and what happened then with the markets? They capsized for a while – then reflecting the emotional response and mood of the public. So going forward in these next few weeks, we are not out of the woods yet, because we still have the month of March through which to maneuver these tidal waves of change as Mars continues through Pisces for a few more weeks.
An interesting point, the eclipses return every 18.6 years to the same parts of the zodiac and again look at what you were doing on this last cycle of 2007 to 2008 but now look more precisely at what you were doing about 9.3 years ago, the half cycle where things happening now are incubated . Look back between 2016 and 2018 which was the half cycle of the current eclipse series. The Moon’s nodes were in reverse from where they are now. In 2018 this president removed the USA from the Iran Nuclear treaty, a treaty that took several highly skilled officials on both sides of the aisle and who knew Iranian and American policies. It wasn’t perfect, but it was designed to keep things in check, now 9.3 years later – we see the result of that event. It was also the year that the Democratic party took over the House of Representatives. Half-cycles are often the incubation cycle for the 9.3 years later – where we are now – whatever is happening now had its roots between 2016 and 2018 and before that between 1998- 2000. More personally – ask yourself what were you incubating or thinking or doing of changing in that half-cycle of your life and how is it manifesting now ? With transiting Saturn (reality strikes folks) now passing Neptune (which has been very active for the last 14 years creating a condition we call ‘smoke and mirrors’, what did you learn, what were you thinking then, that is changing now? This is something to ponder this week. My best, Georgia
