Micro-Forecast: October 27 to November 2, 2025

October 27, 2025

It’s important to regularly let off some steam between now and January or February of next year. If you notice yourself slipping into a dark or unproductive place, try to consciously shift your energy by choosing activities that bring you joy. For example, engaging in something more “Jupiterian”—which in astrology refers to expansive, uplifting experiences—can help. Even something as simple as going to a movie, taking a walk in the rain, or enrolling in a class to learn something new can reset your mindset and lift your spirits. Sometimes, just shutting down your computer and taking a mental health day is all you need to regain perspective and restore balance.

Last week, we focused on Neptune going direct. This week, however, brings another significant shift as Neptune moves from Aries back into Pisces on October 23. You might find yourself feeling more fatigued than usual as the energy transitions from Aries’ fiery drive to Pisces’ gentler, watery influence are very intense. The New Moon in Libra marks the start of a fresh cycle, and because it sits opposite Chiron (a comet known as the ‘wounded healer’) in the zodiac, there’s potential for resolution around issues that surfaced earlier in October.

This cosmic alignment could encourage compromise or even signal an end to government gridlock. If these changes don’t play out on a global scale, you might still notice similar progress in your personal or professional life—perhaps after some heated discussions, a more stable solution or agreement is reached. By the end of the week, Mercury (the planet of communication) aligns harmoniously with Jupiter (representing new insights) and Saturn (structure and stability), helping to bring clarity and a sense of steadiness. To support yourself through these shifts, keep taking breaks, do what makes you feel good, and seek out new experiences to refresh your outlook.

Shifting from cosmic influences on practical matters, don’t forget to set your clocks back for one hour on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, if you live in a state that still observes Daylight Saving Time. This annual time change shortens daylight hours in the Northern Hemisphere, which can make some people more susceptible to Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.). Research suggests that getting outside each day, even when it’s raining or cloudy, helps your body adjust and supports your mood. Simple daily exercise can also make a big difference.

Now that both Neptune and Saturn have retrograded back into Pisces, which happens to be in the Scorpio section (Decanate—a subdivision of each zodiac sign lasting about 10 degrees and adding a layer of nuance), it’s especially easy for bottled-up emotions to spiral into counterproductive actions. On Tuesday, Mars (the planet of action) forms a positive aspect with Jupiter (representing opportunities and luck), creating a favorable environment for breakthroughs and good news. In astrology, when two planets are in a “positive aspect,” it means their energies work together smoothly, often leading to beneficial outcomes.

On Wednesday, October 29, transiting Mercury in late, watery Scorpio is in a supportive alignment with both Neptune and Saturn and Jupiter is still in Cancer. This combination suggests that midweek is a wonderful time to return to creative projects, studies, or writing you may have put on the back burner. When Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune connect in this way, it’s sometimes called a “Grand Trine”—an astrological pattern where three planets are spaced evenly (120 degrees apart) around the chart. Grand Trines are considered especially lucky, often bringing ease, flow, and the right opportunities at the right time. Be sure to pay attention to the people and ideas that cross your path—you never know what fortunate connections may arise.

On a more personal note, Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates and plays on this day! And one last reminder: the time changes at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2. I’ll be taking next week off as I head to Chicago for a few days—an adventure I’m looking forward to, especially to catch up with family, friends, and the city’s beautiful fall weather. I’ll return to my weekly forecasts the week of November 10, just as Mercury stations retrograde at 6° Sagittarius 51’ on November 9. If you have any transportation needs, whether it’s your car, bike, or another vehicle, consider tending to them before Mercury’s retrograde begins, as this period is known for travel and communication hiccups. See you in two weeks!

Monday, November 3, 2025: Georgia is in Chicago, taking a break.
