The big headline this week is that we are – between this week and late December 2024 in a Jupiter square Saturn cycle. Historically, when Jupiter and Saturn are in a hard aspect with each other, the business cycle begins to change. Last week’s suggestions on opportunities and cautionary moments covers these things in a more personal way. This is not a BAD cycle but simply a realistic cycle, where we need to pare down in some areas of our life to benefit more greatly in the future – Jupiter rules the future. Saturn rules history and the past. Neither is good or bad, but when they are in a 90° angle to each other – there are often slowdowns.
These slow downs offer opportunities to clear out the parts of our lives we no longer need and that we hold on to because we don’t see a future. Since Neptune is still dragging its cosmic tail at the last degrees of the zodiac – it still feels like we are caught in slush. The mind is willing, but the universal body just can’t do it. This Jupiter square Saturn is what we call a First Quarter Square, which is much better than a closing square and suggests that as we overcome the obstacles to change, we produce answers. This is what the last six months of 2024 are all about. Taking care of existing structures that require shoring up – in our personal relationships as well as our businesses, families, and houses.
Laws regarding housing changes will change – where more cities approve new ways of approaching housing. One breaking news piece stated that in San Jose, California a family wanted their parents to move into their newly built ADU (Attached Dwelling Unit) but the parents were selling their larger house and wanted to ‘buy’ the ADU and not rent it – the city of San Jose just started allowing this creative solution. These are the structural changes – that accompany out of the box ideas that just take how we view existing structures to a brand-new level. This is what Jupiter square Saturn implies on so many levels.
For those of you who wish to have a perspective on other times in very recent history when we saw this configuration of a First Quarter Square between Jupiter and Saturn, structural changes on all levels occurred.
- July 1905 to May 1906: San Francisco Earthquake – completely changed San Francisco structures.
- April 1926 to February 1927: US Numbered Highway system begins, afforded more housing along the way.
- December 1945 to November 1946: End of World War II and global reconstruction begins.
- April 1986 to August 1987: Tax reform Act 1986. Chernobyl blew up in April. Stock Market crash October 1987.
- December 2005 to October 2006: Structures began recovery after the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. US Housing bubble began.
- August 19 2024 to June 2025: What structures need tending in your homes, families, businesses, and lifestyles? Do the pain first, then pleasure and positive outcomes are true rewards.
