Remember the Pushmepullyou, a character from the Dr. Doolittle story? This week may feel like you do not know if you are coming or going. Uranus, the planet of unexpected surprises, is about to retrograde for a few months, starting on Tuesday, August 7. This is good because it slows down the chaotic pace of the last few weeks. Uranus retraces its steps from its May 2018 entrance into Taurus. In the Zodiac, Taurus is the second house and reflects issues around what we value. Uranus revisiting this entry offers everyone an opportunity to solidly put into place the issue of awakening (or reawakening) to those values. When Uranus goes direct, in December 2018, we are ready to act on changing our lives to align more fully with those values. Mars continues retrograding back to Capricorn and goes direct at the end of August, offering further relief because Mars loves being in Capricorn, even though it is still retrograde. Through the end of August, you may feel a pull to get all those odds and ends finished.
Monday, August 6 – Venus enters its own sign of Libra, the sign of justice, fairness and web weaving. I say web weaving because Pallas Athena can be associated with Libra. Pallas Athena was a master. She is associated with design, textiles, weaving and unweaving fabrics and stories. By the end of August, Pallas Athena will be aspecting Pluto, calling for truth, justice and the revelation of things currently unseen.
Saturday, August 11 – The last of the three eclipses taking place in the summer of 2018, this one is a Solar Eclipse (New Moon) at 18º Leo 42’. New Moons are the beginning of a thirty-day productive cycle. Since this is an eclipse, those more detailed aspects of new beginnings may not be completely clear until the middle of November 2018.
